Bev's Pain B Gone was my first osCommerce site. It is a straight out of the box setup except for the templating system module that allowed me to use a nice looking Joomla template in the design.

Beverly has a small home business that creates and sells magnetic healing jewelry. This gave me an opportunity to learn how a shop is structured and the steps required to securely complete online transactions. I completed the site in August of 2007. The webhost, BlueHost, has the Fantastico De Luxe scripts installer so I installed osCommerce using the automatic functions and built a similar site on my home developmental server.

Bev told me, in a general way, what she wanted the site to look like and I showed her some Joomla templates that might look good and she picked the one that we used. We received permission from the template designer for use on her site. She currently had a bee logo that she was using on her business cards so I redrew it to fit the site design.

I learned a lot while working on this project and am considering asking her if I can rebuild her site using Magneto, another open source e-commerce solution. Another opportunity to learn.
